Carteret is a popular seaside resort and fishing port along the Normandy coast. This little town has a great choice of eateries from crèperies to Michelin star restaurants.

If food isn’t what you’re after then why not enjoy the beautiful beach, or walk the cliff paths up the lighthouse.

Carteret has outdoor markets every Thursday and Saturday so why not sample the local specialities.

The RIB journey across to France offers a great chance of dolphin spotting and catching a spectacular sunset on our evening trips.

NB. Evening trips run from May – early August only due to Sunset times.

RIB trip includes: Safety brief from Skipper, time in Carteret, use of waterproof jackets and life-jackets.

RIB Meeting Point: St Catherine’s Breakwater (15 minutes before departure time)

All RIB excursions are dependent on suitable weather and sea conditions.

Trip duration: four hours and fifteen minutes

What to bring: Bring warm layers of clothing for boat journey and trainer style footwear.
Remember to take some Euros for the market or lunch stops.

Recently went with Pure Adventure on a RIB trip to Carteret, brilliant day out.
Mario the skipper was great, so informative and friendly, even stopped half way when we came across a pod of Dolphins so we could get up close. Then on to Carteret where we had a great lunch, gave us a bit more time ashore than was originally planned which gave us more time for lunch & shopping.
The trip back was great, didn’t want to get off.
It combines all the thrills of a roller coaster ride with the added advantage of a good lunch at the end of it.
Enjoyed it that much that we have booked another trip, this time to the Isles of Chausy,
looking forward to it.
Highly recommended.
